Building Strong Foundations: A European Partnership for Preschoolers’ Social and Emotional Skills Development.

The objectives of the BE-SELF project are to enhance the social and emotional knowledge, attitudes and skills of primary school teachers through the development of digital tools and the implementation of innovative pedagogical approaches that empower teachers to support their students’ SEL within the regular curriculum. The project also seeks to foster collaboration and exchange of best practices among partner organizations from different European countries.

The BE-SELF project implements several activities, including needs analysis, development of digital tools, development of an online training course, pilot testing and implementation, dissemination of project results. These activities will involve the participation of project partners, namely primary school teachers.

The BE-SELF project results are:
– High-quality, innovative, and sustainable digital tools
– Online professional development training course, tested and validated
– Measures for assessment of teachers’ attitudes toward SEL and for self-assessment
– Enhance the professional development of teachers and children’s SES
– Promote a more inclusive and supportive school environment
– Contribute to wider dissemination and implementation of SEL practices and policies at local, national, and European levels.
